For many of us, Manjadi seeds bring back the sweetest vacation memories. Tiny red seeds gathered from the ground, lined up one by one as we played for hours without a care in the world. Such a simple memory, yet one that has stayed with us through the years.
This saree is inspired by exactly that. Crafted in soft sandal toned Kerala cotton with a delicate black border, it is embroidered with tiny Manjadi seeds scattered across the body. Along one border, the seeds are neatly lined up, just the way we remember arranging them as children. It is paired with a black blouse, embroidered with the same bright red Manjadi seeds, making the contrast even more beautiful.
Lakshmi was the perfect person for this saree. She has always loved understated, simple yet classy pieces, and she carried this one with so much elegance.
